Putting the "Social" Back into Social Networking

Every year ATP brings together the best and the brightest of our industry to share best practices, network and learn about the latest innovations in our industry. Historically the goal of the Social Networking segment of the conference was to facilitate informal introductions and spur discussions around hot industry topics. This year we are taking this segment a step further by getting to know one another and keeping those connections going all year long using social media.
Now before you get all-a “Twitter” over the idea of using social media, just hear us out. We will be going through a series of “social media” themed group activities, all dedicated to getting to know you and your peers better and understanding how these concepts manifest in virtual communities. We will cover subjects like personal branding, tagging, microblogging, friending, following, etc. This will be your opportunity to discuss all the questions you’ve always wanted to ask and help you pick the best networking tools for you or your organization. So keep your mouse clicking fingers and business cards at home and join us for some “social” fun.
