Christine M. Yoshida, Ed.D.

Enlitefy, Inc.

With over 20 years’ experience with some of the largest program sponsors in IT, Christine has in-depth expertise in creating, launching, and managing successful certification programs that benefit millions of IT workers around the world for Apple, Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Blue Jeans Network. Christine also offers learning and certification consulting services through Enlitefy, Inc.

Christine holds a doctorate in education from the University of Southern California. She has presented at numerous conferences including ATP, E-ATP, ASTD, Cisco Live, and the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.

Jim Stobinski

Competency and Credentialing Institute

Jim Stobinski has in excess of 25 years’ experience as an operating room nurse; his pre-licensure education was a Diploma of nursing from the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. His education also includes a BSN and MSN from East Carolina University. He earned his PhD in International Health Research from Touro University International in June of 2011 for a study of competency and skill acquisition in perioperative nurses. Since 2011 he has been employed as the Director of Credentialing and Education at the Competency and Credentialing Institute in Denver, Colorado. He also works as adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University in Ft Lauderdale Florida teaching graduate courses for nurses. Jim is the current President of the ABSNC Board of Directors and he is very active in nursing certification research to include patient outcome studies.

Julie Ann Miles

Pearson VUE

Dr. Miles leads the psychometric services and senior research scientist teams at Pearson VUE. These teams are responsible for utilizing measurement theory, statistical methodology, and data analysis to provide psychometrically sound examinations for client programs. They conduct applied research to improve client processes.

Previously at Pearson, Dr. Miles was responsible for a full range of measurement services, including content, publishing, project management, and psychometric support for numerous national and state assessment programs. These programs were predominantly online, high-stakes, and computer-adaptive, and often required a full range of item types. She also led professionals on multiple state-level projects and national-level programs including the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC), ACT Aspire, and Readistep. Prior to her time at Pearson, Dr. Miles filled psychometric and measurement roles at Measurement, Inc., the Collin County Community School District, and Boston College.

Kristin Wall Gibson

IBM

Kristin Gibson is IBM’s Certification Strategy Lead. She is responsible for developing IBM’s Solution Based Certifications and for helping set their Certification Program’s strategic direction.

In 2005, Kristin joined the IBM Tivoli Certification Team. In 2009, she became the IBM Tivoli Certification Team Program Manager. As an integral part of the IBM Certification team, Kristin has participated in the IBM Certification Security Council and in the Migration of IBMs Certification Program to PearsonVUE.

Since 2012, Kristin’s leadership role has included presenting at the Domestic and European Innovation in Testing Conferences. At these conferences, her areas of expertise focused on Exam Security and Remote Exam Development.

In 2014, Kristin joined the Information Technology Certification Council (ITCC) where she participated on the Security & Education Subcommittees. In 2015, Kristin became the ITCC Vice-Chairman. She currently is the ITCC Badging Subcommittee Co-Chair and is also a Website Redesign Committee Member.

Marc G. Thompson

ITPG

Marc Thompson has spent the last 20 years as a senior executive, working for associations specializing in certification, training, and career development.

In 1999, Marc co-founded ITPG, a unique certification management firm which specializes in credential adoption and growth. For over a decade, Marc led all global business development for (ISC)2, the global, not-for-profit leader in educating and certifying information security professionals. 15 years ago, when Marc began working as one of the first employees, (ISC)² barely had 1500 members and was selling less than 100 exams/year. Under Marc’s sales leadership, (ISC)² exploded in growth, delivering more than 20,000 exams/year generating over $11 Million annually, while also selling Exam Preparation education programs which yield an additional $9 Million annually.

Marc didn’t rest with the incredible success of (ISC)². By 2007, ITPG branched out and began working with other associations and credentialing bodies. Over the last 7 years, Marc and his ITPG team has worked closely with over 20 different certification programs, helping rapidly increase their certification program revenues by developing, implementing, and managing sales and marketing programs. Organizations such as ACR (American College of Radiology), BCI (Business Continuity Institute), IEEE, and many others benefit from Marc’s ongoing engagement. In 2008, Marc was appointed President of SCIPP International, the leading International Security Awareness Certification organization. The SCIPP organization was the first of its kind to receive ANSI accreditation.

Prior to 1999, Marc was focused in the higher education space. He was a founding executive of Potomac College, serving as Admissions Director, Financial Officer, and eventually served as the college President. From 1991 to 1996, Marc led the college through incredible growth – achieving regional accreditation and eventually the college was sold to Allegro Education Group in 1998. Marc recognized the need for skilled Information Technologists and helped bridge a gap between colleges and technical training centers. Marc founded and managed Delta Computer Education from 1996-2000, which became the DC Area premier and one of the largest computer training centers with multiple locations and training thousands of students each year.

Mr. Thompson is a native of the Washington DC area and currently resides in Germantown MD, with his wife and 3 children.

Maurillo Gorito

Pure Storage

Maurilio Gorito is a Credentialing Specialist and is serving as Director of Global Certification Programs at Pure Storage overseeing the Certification and Accreditation Programs structure and strategy. Currently, Maurilio also serves the Board of Directors of the Performance Testing Counsel (PTC).

Previously, he served as Certification Manager for Riverbed Technology leading and structuring Riverbed’s Certification Programs. He also managed the CCIE Routing and Switching Certification Program and he is a triple Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). Maurilio has 30 years experience in the IT field and more than 23 years combined experience in Education, Testing and Assessment. Through the years, Maurilio has built the expertise in creating and structuring certification programs from the ground up and he is passionate with testing and assessment, specially and it comes to performance-based testing. Maurilio holds bachelors degrees in Education, Pedagogy and Mathematics from Centro Universitario Geraldo Di Biasi, Brazil.

Phillip Casesa

(ISC)²

Philip Casesa is one of the leading voices representing (ISC)², often commenting on high-profile cyberattacks, breaches and important cybersecurity topics. His expertise has been featured in Security Week, CIO, CSO, GovInfosecurity, Dark Reading, eSecurity Planet, Health Management Technology, Fed Scoop, Help Net Security and more. He has successfully led many IT-based projects that drive critical business operations and revenue. In his current role as product development strategist for (ISC)², he is responsible for designing and developing new products, market analysis, developing strategies to keep credentials relevant, quality assessment and feedback programs for all products, and identifying new partnerships for the company’s product lines. A seasoned IT, software and security professional, Casesa holds the CISSP, CSSLP, PMP and ITIL certifications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in decision and information sciences and an MBA from the University of Florida.
